- Just type wedding poems into google. You will find heaps. I love this one: On Your Wedding Day Today is the day you will always remember the greatest in anyone's life. You'll start off the day just two people in love and end it as Husband and Wife It's a brand-new beginning, the start of a journey, with moments to cherish and treasure and although there'll be times when you both disagree these will surely be outweighed by pleasure You'll have heard many words of advice in the past when the secrets of mariage were spoken, but you know that the answers lie hidden inside where the bond of true love lives unbroken. So live happy forever as lovers and friends it's the dawn of a new life for you, as you stand there together with love in your eyes from the moment you whisper " I Do" And, with luck, all your hopes and your dreams can be real may success find its way to your hearts, tommorow can bring you the greatest of joys but today is the day it all starts. Anon. Or there is this one: A Parents Prayer On Your Wedding Day May your day be filled with happiness, And the sun shine on your life; May joy and laughter be with you, As you become husband and wife. May the angels sing with joy for you, On this your wedding day; A song of celebration, That will follow you on life's way. We pray that God will bless you, No matter where you go; That love and laughter and children, Will fill your happy home. Our hearts are filled with love and pride, As we watch you standing there; We wish you the joy you've given us, This is your parent's prayer. ...Allison Chambers Coxsey Good Luck!
- For my birthday party, all the girls had a poem, some were funny, some almost tear jerkers, the one that stood out most made me cry, it was the one from a long time friend, who told me she remembered the first time we met, and what I have meant in her life...everyone was quiet, and crying, it was so moving, it almost broke the party down, until one of them said.." Are we at her wake" we started to laugh more and things became so much more meaningful You could start by telling him how you felt when you first saw his tiny little wrinkled face, then how he scared you, into becoming a good mother, now that he is flying away, you know you raised a good son, and happy knowing the kind of young man he turned out to be.
