When renewing wedding vows do we have to get married on the same date?
We got married on January 1st. We want to renew our vows on the beach in florida. Do we have to do it on the same day as our original wedding?

- No, you don't HAVE to but I think most people do...
- i'm not married yet but i don't think you have to...maybe do it on a different anniversary...like first kiss...or first date..etc...
- no friends has renewed their vows 3 times on 3 different dates. they still only celebrate their actual wedding however.
- You can do whatever you and your husband are comfortable with. You are the only two that matter here. You don't change your anniversary, your just renewing yourself, and letting each other know that you still believe in and want all of the same things you wanted when you got married.
- a lot of people do it as a celebration of an anniversary but you don't have to
- You don't HAVE to but it would be romantic.... even if it is a little cliche
- No because it is just a religious ceremony and has no legal backing.
- Nope, you don't have to. You can have it on any date that you want. We're renewing our vows for our 10th wedding anniversary. Where, and what month will solely depend on his deployment schedule.
