Wedding vows?

Me and my girlfriend are planning a wedding for the summer and have decided to write our own vows. I have any idea how to even start what to say how to go about writing them. I'm not even sure how to help out with the wedding planning If any one has any hints, ideas or any thing that might help in the planning it would be greatly appreciated.

  1. Just thank her for the way she loves you. Tell her what you love about her. Tell her you realize that marriage is a commitment, it takes compromise, and that you will love each other eternally. That you dont have to do anything special with her to make that time special. That when she looks at you with love it takes your breath away.
  2. Think about the things that are special to you and your fiance. Try to stay away from the plans, unless there is something special to do for your Mom. Make sure you can smile afterward.
  3. I think the most important aspect of wedding vows is the personalization factor. It also depends on what religion you practice...or don't. Here are just a few suggested add ins: CHEESY: Your hand in mine, is a comfort and an absolute. I plan to hold on tight, through all of the ups and downs, for the rest of my life. BILLY CRYSTAL RECAP: I love it when...and throw in all of the quirky loveable things she does. THE LIBRAL PERSPECTIVE: By your side, not only as your husband, but your best friend and equal. FUNNY: Everyone already knows how much I adore you (insert when you first met, what you told your friends, etc). Let's face it, "you had me at hello." THE SAD ROMANTIC: Let's face it, we both know I'm not the best at expressing my emotions or how I feel...especially in front of ... people. With that, I have borrowed the most beautiful lyrics from a song by (?) that aptly describes what you mean to me and how much I love you. As far as the planning goes...try the knot website.
